It Started With $25,000 and 400 Acres.

John L. Hundley grew up farming alongside his father. In 1969 he and his wife Patricia, known as Patsy, started Hundley Farms with $25,000 worth of equipment, a $25,000 loan co-signed by his father, and 400 acres of land. The first crops out of the ground were sweet corn and radishes.

Today the family farms approximately 16,000 acres, most of it sweet corn and sugar cane, and keeps the rotation moving: broccoli, cabbage, green beans, rice, and cattle. John L. Hundley still leads the team with the same progressive approach, so his children and grandchildren have the chance to farm for many years to come.
